We join Senator Berger and the majority in the North Carolina Senate in supporting the NC Taxpayer Protection Act.
The Taxpayer Protection Act
- Cuts the state income tax and caps it at 5%, so North Carolina’s working families aren’t burdened with higher taxes.
- Limits government spending increases to the rate of inflation plus population growth, so big-spending politicians can’t break the bank.
- Guarantees North Carolina saves at least 2% of its annual budget in a reserve or “Rainy Day” account, so the state can weather tough economic times.
We believe in a fiscally responsible North Carolina, and that now is the time for a constitutional amendment that will protect our Taxpayers, our State Budget, and our Economy.
